The Color Red

Fine Oil Paintings
Celebrating the Color Red

The Color Red series celebrates the vibrant and lively nature of the color red.

Mostly abstract and non-objective, these fine oil paintings explore the wide range of reds, some explosive, some more subtle. Emphasis is usually on the contrast and interaction of red with other colors. Many of these abstract works include a faint hint of green in obscure areas of the composition offering a sense of duality or antagonistic relationship with the red.

Cubes

Unique and Innovative Cube Paintings

Cubes is a collection of original abstract oil paintings composed within a hexagon frame. The image is then "optically" transformed into a 3D cube. The unique illusion is much more pronounced when viewed in person. Some of these abstract paintings are 24" wide and over 2" deep and make an dramatic display. This definitely isn't your average framed art!

Hexagons

"Fine Art Reformatted"

The Hexagons series of abstract images offers a modern and novel format that makes a powerful yet refreshing display. The angled lines of these original oil paintings present a pleasant mystique and the unique shape offers many new compositional possibilites. The artist began this hexagon project over 20 years ago while seeking something beyond the constraints of stiff, rectangular-shaped framed art. He continues to explore new images for this unique format.

In addition to the regular hexagonal works, the artist has also recently introduced a new format using irregular hexagons. The irregular hexagons are more free-form and further liberate the artist and viewer into an even greater artistic experience in abstract art.

Relic

Earthy Images

The Relic series is somewhat more objective than the artist's other non-representational artworks. These original oil paintings resemble mineral or rock formations and are usually more monochromatic with only subtle tones but complemented with dramatic textures. The earthy tones and ragged surface present a simple but rather compelling image.

Ethereal

"Time and Space"

The Ethereal gallery houses abstract art where the central theme is the intangible; space, atmosphere, spirit...These original oil paintings lure the viewer into worlds unknown and quicken your imagination. Interestingly, no brushes were used in any of these abstract works. Even the smooth, gradient passages were executed only with painting knives.
